Irys Education
Irys' Mission
Irys Education is an organization based in California under the nonprofit Pacific Academy Foundation. We are dedicated to fundraising and spreading awareness about the personal experiences of Ukrainian refugees through touching stories and learning about the reality they are facing.
Irys Education is named after the Ukrainian word for the iris flower (irys or Ірис). Irises are a symbol of hope and wisdom which we hope to encourage among people. Combined with the national Ukrainian symbol of the Coat of Arms in our logo, these qualities represent symbols crucial to our mission of helping Ukrainians.
Empowering Communities
In our local communities, we seek to shout out and shed light on those who are struggling. We've seen a decrease in media coverage for Ukrainian refugees, however, this doesn't mean that WE have to stay silent. We are committed to continuing our mission of sharing Ukrainian stories and bridging the gap for all Ukrainians worldwide.
